ASSISTANT PASTOR, Steve Harrison I was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Huntington Beach at the age of two. I grew up in a family that went to church pretty much every Sunday. When I was 13 years old my dad accepted Christ as his personal savior (at a family camp) in which I shortly followed. It was then that I allowed the Lord to begin His work in my life. I went to private Christian schools from 7th–10th grades then finished my High School education at Huntington Beach High School. The later years of High School and the early years of college I went to church, but was not following the Lord's best for my life. It was shortly after transferring to UCSD that the Lord got a hold of my life. After graduation I moved back to Huntington Beach and began working as a software engineer for a robotics company, I also began attending Committed Christian Fellowship (which is now Calvary Chapel La Habra). After about 5 years of going out to Committed, I started attending a small bible study in Huntington Beach—which became Committed Christian Fellowship of Huntington Beach and now is called Calvary Chapel Beachside. I also started serving at the church in the children's ministry, ushering, parking, construction, financial oversight, and a variety of other areas. I was asked to come on staff as an assistant pastor in December of 2001 in which I started full time in January of 2002. I got married to my beautiful wife Tammy on January 31st, 2004 in which I enjoy to serve the Lord together. The Lord blessed us with twin boys, Asher and Wyatt, born on February 3rd, 2009. They bring more joy to our lives than we could have imagined. |
