Vision:
The vision for the hearts of compassion ministry is found in Mathew 9:36; “But when He (Jesus) saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having know shepherd.” It’s our desire that we as believers would have the same heart of compassion that our Lord Jesus demonstrated for the weary and scattered sheep that had no shepherd. There are many in need, wandering aimlessly without hope in our community; which we hope to reach with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.

Mission:
It’s our desire to bring the needs of our community before the body of Christ, as an outreach opportunity in our ‘Jerusalem’. That we as believers would be ‘moved with compassion’ in practical ways demonstrating the love of Christ. We hope that those in need would have a genuine encounter with the love of God through the power of the gospel and the compassionate love of Christians – ultimately coming into a relationship with the good shepherd. Some of the practical ways we offer to minister to those in need in our community are:

  • Weekly Soup Kitchen/Service
  • Clothing & Food Distribution
  • Drug & Alcohol Recovery Ministry
  • Sober Living Home Bible Studies
  • Convalescent Home Ministry
  • Bar-B-Q Ministry
